Electronic Repeat Dispensing
If you take the same medication regularly, you may be able to use Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD).
This service allows your GP or clinical pharmacist to send a batch of repeat prescriptions directly to your nominated pharmacy for up to 12 months.
This means you do not need to request your prescription each month. Instead, your pharmacy will prepare your medicine when it is due.
How it works

Your GP or pharmacist sets up electronic repeat dispensing for your regular medicines.

Your prescriptions are sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy.

Each month the pharmacy prepares your medication ready for collection.

When the batch of prescriptions finishes, the pharmacy will let you know so you can arrange a medication review if needed.
